Could this be an ARPN thread?

So many folks start new threads asking if school Y is better than school F. The answer is "yes, no, maybe, and who cares?".

Is there any chance we can shift the focus to APRN topics and skip the "i am thinking about going to school for xyz"?

O.k., what topic do you want to discuss in this thread?? :)

I have actually been thinking the same thing for sometime. I rarely come on here as most of topics are "I want to be an np, what do I do" or "what school is better". Those topics should be moved to the student section anyway.

I personnally would love to see topics related to what we actually do as NP's. Maybe state legislation, patient advice (like the insulin question posted earlier), conferences and meetings, etc.

Let's make it relevant to the NP's who are actually practicing!!

I agree with the above! A forum about about actual NP practice only would be nice.

To generate the topics you want, just start a thread. Any topic related to your practice, problems/issues as an NP, etc.

Let's see what you come up with.

Just FYI: We've kicked this up for Administrative discussion regarding your request.

In the meantime, get the ball rolling with topics of interest to you as NP's. ;)

That is a good question.....maybe there should be a separate thread for NP students vs. actual practicing NP's, just like the CRNA's have on this board.

Were glad you guys suggested this. Watch for the new forums. Thanks for the suggestions.

...and block those students wanting us to do their homework for them :lol2:

New forums will be up and running soon.

As for homework questions, these will still be allowed in the special forum for NP students. If you don't want to answer these questions, please by-pass them. ;)

You now have two new sub-forums:

Pre-Nurse Practitioner Inquiry

Student Nurse Practitioner

Give us time to re-locate some threads. ;)
