Continuing Education

What are some website that offer FREE CEU's that are credible? Or, for a small fee for unlimited topics. Not only to earn my needed CEU's, but sometimes I just want a refresher on some topics.

Medscape.com has free CEU's.

If you aren't so married to the idea that it has to be a website to be 1) free or inexpensive or 2) good refreshers, join your state nursing association and you'll be able to access bazillions of online and in-person CE for short money and large satisfaction.

Also, remember that many certifications and licensures don't accept online CE if it's less than 30 minutes, so whipping off a pile of those 15 minute ones in an afternoon will teach you something (no learning is ever wasted) but not impress your BoN or cert board.

If you belong to a specialty organization, you can get continuing education at a reduced rate. For e.g., I belong to the Oncology Nurses Association, and have done many of their CE. Those hours count toward my certification renewal.

I have done some CE programs provided by Nursing Spectrum, medpage, NOEP and some others.
