Contact Issues

Does anyone else have issues with contacts? I wear soft contacts and they keep on ripping! I am wondering if the area of the hospital I am is drier than other areas. I've noticed my skin flaring up too. I'm switching back to glasses for work even though I am starting a new job.

I had issues with my contacts 24/7. After 14 years of wearing contacts, I got PRK (like LASIK) so I wouldn't have to deal with contact issues and being a nurse. Best decision I ever made! :)

What cleaning solution are you using? My contact used to drive me crazy; they would float around on my eyes, cloud over, and generally cause me distress. I switched to a hydrogen peroxide cleaning solution at my ophth's recommendation, and I have not had any problems since then (years ago).

I forget which one it is but it is a name brand. Wouldn't hydrogen peroxide ruin lenses? I use soft.

I did see my eye doctor and he said that I am over-wearing contacts due to not having glasses. I ordered glasses.

Why don't you try using re-wetting drops throughout the day. When you feel your eyes starting to dry out, put in a few drops. It should do the trick.

I had LASIK, didn't help. The hospital air is soooo dry. I just walk around looking all bloodshot and pathetic. I've tried everything.

I'll look into eye drops. I think my contacts may have also been old though.
