Concode Career College Program?

Published

Concode Career College now has a nuring ADN programs. Doesn't anyone know anything about it? I am trying to switch carrers and can't find a programs other than Penn Valley that offeres night classes.

I live in the St. Louis Merto are, but im kinda familar with kc. I would storngly advise you to go with Penn Valley!!!! Its cheaper and the credits will transfer if you ever decide that you want to get a BSN. Concorde is a "for profit" school' which means it will be very expensive and you will never be able to transfer any credits!!!!!! The quatily of education will be better at Penn Valley too!!!!

I graduated from Concorde's LPN program this October. I would not reccommend going there unless it was your last option, which it was for me. Everywhere else was on a massive waiting list. They are just super unorganized and way too expensive. We went through 3 DON's and had a new teacher for every class, which is not how it is set up to be. They tell you their NCLEX pass rate is 90%, which it is. They regret to tell you that only 5 out of 30 students actually graduate and those people pass boards. But I got out of them what I needed to and actually thought about bridging through them. They are currently in thier first year of the ADN program; they are not yet accredited (scary), and don't have all the kinks worked out. Plus it costs a small fortune. I do have a friend who is currently in the program (she bridged over from Concorde's LPL program) and said that it was "typical Concorde." But I have to say that if you can stick with it, it is always worth it in the end. They set up all kinds of obstacles throughout to make it ridiculously hard to finish, but when you do it is worth it. So I have to say that it is a gamble, but if it is your only choice (and if it was mine) and I was dead set on finishing I would probably do it again.
