Did you take the EC practice exams? They are a great gauge of preparedness...

I took it last week and made a D on it. Its heavy on neuro and muskculosketal. I also thought there were a ton of meds, and prioritizing. Good luck though, if you feel ready just give it a shot and see how you do! I saw on another post you are going to Lynns workshop in Dallas? Are you still going? I will be there also, although now I feel a little silly because I am not cpne eligible yet since I failed LS3.

I know I keep harping this... but get the Saunders book to help you study! LS3 was only my 3rd ECE but I noticed the questions were more tricky NCLEX style than anything. not sure if all the Life Span exams are this way... there were some that were silly like all the answers were almost identical apart from one word... I must have looked rediculous because I was at the point where I was writing down the words on the dry erase board because the screen was making me confused LOL.

My exam was very heavy on pediatrics and ALOT of medications.

You will do fine. Don't second guess yourself.. you are going to do great!! :-)

I do the same thing on tricky questions--I will re-write questions in a format I prefer, and it has definately helped me out a few times.

Good luck on LS3 guys! I am STILL crawling along with LS1...ugh!

Wow! That's good to know LS3 is so hard. I thought LS2 was the hardest of the three. I just passed Repro with a B so now I'm starting LS1... Loops, I'm crawling with you. At least this site helps, it makes me realize there are other people doing the same thing. So thank you Loops!!:)

I anxious to see for myself how different these lifespan exams are! I really liked the cardio portion of LS1, but now that I am on resp, ISH! Hoping Abnormal Cell will go a little faster. I really need to test by the end of this month, and hit the practice exams this weekend.

I have not taken LS2 yet, so I'm not sure. I skipped to LS3 after I took my first two exams, LOL. We are all gonna get to the end together soon!!!! I am so happy I found this website--it gives me so much more motivation once I see that people finish their exams and get their RN. :-)

And Loops... there is NOTHING wrong w/crawling. I try and give myself 3-4 weeks per test because I really like to grasp the concepts.... I think after I study that feel like if I saw what I had just studied at work, I'd be able to identify it and properly educate/treat my patient... nothing wrong w/that :-)

LS3 was the hardest for me by far.

The muskuloskeletal part was the hardest for me because I had absolutely no interest in it.

YMMV

Ahh....this may be good for me! I am a Certified Surgical Assistant, and I had to memorize Netter's Anatomy Plates for my cert, and I have done some Ortho (sure not my favorite through!). It is good to find things to look foward to :D

Yup, won't it be nice to all finish at the same time!! Maybe we can all get in on the same workshop for CPNE! I totally agree that this website has been very motivating for me!

I am hoping to finish with the nursing theory exams by May and be finished with the pre-reqs by August so I can take the CPNE in October/November (I have 2 weeks vacation then... wishful thinking, LMAO).... it would def be awesome! What testing site are you hoping for? I am going to try and shoot for the Naples, FL testing site... but depending on how things go I may also put in for Queens, NY since I can stay w/family while I am there :-)

What workshops have you looked into so far? I have not really looked into any yet... but I have a 1 year old so I can't go tooo far. Hoping there is one in Orlando or nearby there.
