comfortable shoes

Published

What are everybody's favorite shoes?? I prefer walking shoes over regular nurse's shoes but have yet to find a pair that are really comfortable. I have heard New Balance is the way to go. What models of New Balance would be worth considering or any other shoe for that matter.

Saucony is by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.

I'm a Saucony fan also. I also like Birkenstock Super Birkis and Dansko Professional shoes. I have a pair of Nike trail running shoes I've been wearing a lot also.

Do a search too...you'll find lots of threads here on this subject. :)

new balance shoes are the only ones that i can wear and my feet not hurt. the #608 are the best for me because they are cross trainers. i'm diabetic and i've got to take care of my feet! these shoes are really comfortable and do not bind my feet at all.

I have tried several different kinds of shoes. Nurse mates are the absolute worst! Mine didn't wear well at all and by the end of the day, it was all I could do to force one foot in front of the other to get to my car. Klogs are the most comfortable ones I have found. The feel like I'm walking around on pillows, you can scrub them off when they get dirty, and there is nothing to wear out!!

I wear New Balance and I find that they don't make my feet and legs hurt like nurses shoes or Nike or Reebok's do

i like the Nike Shox very comfy. does anyone use orthonics?? i have heard they help

You are right about the nurse mates, horrible. Where do you get the KLOGS and do they come in narrow???

I am convinced that they do not exist!

I will join in with those who've said that Nurse Mates are terrible. I will go out on my own and say that Rockers are worse. I owned one pair of those and only wore them a few times. They were never comfortable, but the last time I wore them, I could not walk by 4 hours into my shift! I had to borrow a co-worker's spare pair that she kept in her locker (as opposed to working in my socks - ICK!)

I feel like I have tried on every style of every brand of shoe that exists and have yet to find a comfortable pair. I owned one pair of New Balance shoes that were comfortable, but they discontinued the style before I could buy another pair. :angryfire

The "replacement style" was completely different and one of the worst things I have ever put on my feet.

I would LOVE to find comfortable shoes!

I suggest Dr. Scholls shoes with the gel-cushioned soles. Also, I love my New Balance shoes because they're wide, airy, and cause me to feel like I am walking on pillows.

So do these shoes everyone is talking about come in solid white?? I am a student and our instructors are very picky about our shoes, have to be solid white.

Doc Martins and Birkinstocks are the most comfie shoes i have ever worn...although Doc Martins can be a bear to break in, once broken in though they are worth it
