Hiiiii! Will be applying! Going to take my TEAS one more time to see if I can get any higher! Any extra amount counts LOL Does anyone know if august 11 is really the last time to take the TEAS? That’s what it says on the Collin website. The application period closes august 31 so thought that was weird!

Hey I know I saw that too. Were you able to take it in person because I refuse to take it the TEAS remotely.

I was going to take it remote bc I did last time and didn’t have any problems. I’m going to tune into their info session on Tuesday so will ask because it would be nice to have a bit more time if the application period is open for 2 weeks longer than that, but if not I’ll be taking it one more time on the 11th ?

I am taking the TEAS remotely this month as well. I wanted to take it in person, but did not see any availability to do so. Hoping there aren't any hiccups during testing, especially with the application closing date quickly approaching.
Has anyone heard how many applicants were accepted last cycle, and what the cutoff criteria score was?
Wishing everyone the best of luck throughout this process!

Yes it’s mostly remote, I haven’t had probs ? the test run you do prior is helpful as well.
Last cycle they accepted 75-100 students, not sure about this cycle coming up. They don’t say a cut off, but from experience and knowing others that applied, seems like 18ish points and up is where you’ll have a better chance, esp at least 19 points. It also depends on the other students applying though! I’m nervous!

I submitted my application today. Does anyone know how long it takes before you get a response? And what’s the average point you need to be considered?

We will find out in October. And there is no actual average because it depends on who else applies and what their points are but usually 19 and above, you’re fairly competitive. I’ve known some get in with also around 18 points as well but really depends esp if they’re gonna take limited students due to the most recent covid surge. Good luck. I will be submitting on Friday.

Hi everyone, this is my first time joining a nursing group. I am currently an MA at a pediatrics office. I graduated in May with a Bachelor of Science and am pursuing nursing. I applied to Collin College for the Spring 2022 semester, but I am not hopeful. Many of you have so much to distinguish yourselves and prove to be very smart and 100% nurse material. I did not do nearly as well on my TEAS exam with a 78 average upon completion. I completed all pre-requisites due to my minor being the same degree path as BSN students. I don't have close to as great of a GPA as most of you, so I don't expect acceptance. I wanted to keep up with those of you who make it into this class because I am quite amazed by how promising our future nurses prove to be. I plan on applying to LVN programs at other colleges and moving up from there. I have never been a stand out applicant, but I plan to further my education and reach my goals after being inspired by all of you. Please update me on when you guys receive your acceptance letters!
