college network help plzzz

I had sign up with one of their salesman and was given 5 days to cancel and i called them and cancelled i want to know if by talking to someone on phone and cancel is it enough or i should do more

I would get something in writing. A verbal is not enough. Even if it is an email...it just verifies your conversation.

Check with your state consumer protection office. You may need to send a certified letter (I have no personal experience with this, but I know people have posted here before that they had to do that with TCN). Also, in many states (I don't know if this is a state-by-state thing or a federal thing), you only have three days, not five, to cancel a contract without penalty or obligation. I wouldn't put it past a TCN salesman to intentionally mislead you (since their entire business model is based on intentionally misleading people ...)

Did you ask consent to record? NJ is a 2 party consent state so without consent your recorded conversation is useless.

I would still follow up with a registered or certified, return receipt requested and regular mail (if certified is returned as unclaimed but regular is not that counts as proof of delivery) including a statement of dates/times/names you called to cancel, a copy of the email, and request written response. If you paid with a credit card contact your bank or card to prevent unauthorized charges
