Hi, I've googled and searched the CNO's site but can't find anything on this. I just found out I passed my CPRNE last week and should get my police clearance next week. But before I send initial registration of $230 off to the CNO, am I going to have to pay another $175 membership renewal in December?
I'm confused because their letter says memberships processed before dec 31 will be for this year but on their site it says 2014 fees not made before dec 31 will incur a late penalty. Should I just send them my left arm and leg along with my first born?

If you're not working at the moment and can afford to wait until January 1 to start (or you have an understanding employer who will let you continue to work as a GPN), I'd suggest delaying your registration. Because you WILL have to renew by the end of December for 2014.

Although a different province I had to go through the same thing and within a couple of months had to pay twice. Agree with Jan if you can afford to wait then wait
Thanks for the responses - I read them but forgot to reply. I decided to hold off on paying, but was offered a job so ended up paying for my licence which should be processed finally any day now.

I'm confused, I'm writing my CPNRE in January...the school made us pay for the exam and everything months ago. I already have a job offer from my final placement so I plan on working on a temp license until I get my results back (probably til march). Am I ok then as I wont be "officially" registered until the new year?
