So, after asking a few nurses I know and getting great feedback on these boards, I have been told the best way to get my foot in the door to being an L&D nurse is to become a CNA while in nursing school and try to find a job at an OB clinic or hospital. So my question is, can you be certified as a CNA after your first year of nursing school or do I have to go through a seperate training course?
With the waiting lists and lotteries, I am really interested in getting a CNA cert first. I will be done with pre-reqs this December, so I could possibly be working while waiting to get accepted into a program.
