Nursing Students CNA/MA

I'm interested in doing one of these programs this fall after I finish all my pre-reqs and gen eds. What is a good program or school in Los Angeles or what programs have you participated in and what was it like? I'm looking for one around $1,000 or even free. Thank you!

I Don’t live in that area but I suggest checking your local community colleges some of them have very good programs that are very inexpensive good luck

Goodwill in Long Beach has a program for CNA certification called Goodwill SOLAC. I went in 2016 and it was free. Im not sure of price now but I highly recommend it.

There's a great program at West LA College . For Summer Enrollment (which already passed), you become a CNA *and* Home Health Aid in 7 weeks! You'd do didactic and clinical training 9am-5pm M-F though. For Fall & Spring, it's a full semester (~4/5 months) but you're doing night didactic classes and weekend clinicals. The program is 9.5 units, $46/ unit. If you are a CA resident and qualify for the California Promise Grant (BOG Fee Waiver), the program is free! Here's info on the fee waiver http://www.wlac.edu/Financial-Aid/bogg.aspx

You have to attend an orientation, do a math/english placement, be medically cleared and you also have to apply to West LA College with the Life Sciences major. You also have to have BLS Certification, but they offer it at the school for free with the BOG waiver. (0.5 unit class)

West LA College also has an MA program, but it's WAY longer.

PS: If you qualify for the BOG Fee Waiver, you can literally go to any Community College in CA for free! Including getting in entire ADN/ASN program paid for. (That's the route I'm considering.)

Good luck!
