CNA Boards

Published

I was wondering if you graduated from LPN school, if you could take the CNA boards in the state of Tennessee, or Virginia. Someone said you could, I just wanted to verify, and if so, how do you do this? I took my LPN boards, and failed. I don't have another 400 dollars to take them again. Thank you for responding!

Check with the certifying authorities in those states. The information is probably on their websites. In some states people can not hold CNA certificates if they obtain nursing licenses, so you could lose the certificate once you get the LPN license.

I don't think there is such a thing as CNA boards? I believe it is a certification that you receive once you take the training.

Some States do offer licensing. While "boards" is probably an overstatement, a candidate for certification must pass a competency exam first.

In TN, there is a "board" test that you have to take to acquire a certification. This problem has been solved by my own research, thanks for your help, guys! :)

Guess we weren't of much help, lol, but glad you found your answer!
