Clogs for Men

Hi everyone,

I am a student working on my last two semesters, and I'm working as a tech until I finish up. I'm looking to buy a new pair of shoes for work, and I wanted to see what everybody thinks about the two I think I've narrowed it down to. I'm thinking either super birkis or "specialist" crocs with the vents. I am wearing a pair of crostrails by crocs now, and I like them a lot, but I want something that looks a little more professional (as professional as clogs can look). I've worn regular tennis shoes, and as I have flat feet, crocs have really been the best thing for comfort thus far. I'm concerned mainly about shelling out the $$$ for the super birkis if they're not going to be worth it. Also, does anybody have any suggestions other than these two? I've seen where a lot of people have raved about the dansko clogs, but I don't think I want to go with those. Just don't like the look of them. Thanks!

Dude, clogs are for girls, crocs look extremely unprofessional, and the fact that you're debating between these two is sketchy.

Okay, so can you recommend a comfortable pair of shoes, smart guy?

...your specialty is OB? For real? And you say I'm sketch...

Dansko professionals are great. Merrel sliders are also very comfortable. Both very popular with guys (RN/PA/MD) in our ER. As for Nick's insecurities, well, that's his deal. I'm not into arguing, already had fistfight/wrestling match this week. Hey security, thanks for showing up, the wristlock was slipping......

Yeah, I work with women, I don't dress like them. As for my recommendation, Nike crosstrainers, Reebok crosstrainers, new balance crosstrainers and anything else in the men's section.

If you like Keen shoes, they make a freaking awesome professional clog. They have men's and women's versions. Look for the PTC clog. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis, I pop in a pair of Powerstep Pinnacle inserts (recommended by my podiatrist) and my feet are happy all 13 hours of my shift.

I found my first pair of Keen clogs in white for half-price at Sierra Trading Post. Just paid full price for a black pair. I have Danskos, Sanitas, as well as high-end athletic shoes. I end up in the Keens or my Sauconys all the time.

One thing I've found--backless clogs are actually harder on your joints. The ones that come up over your heels (but your heels slide up in them as you walk) are much more joint-friendly.

Try Reebok ZigTech $89 awesomeness

If you enjoy the way crocs fit your feet and the way they make your feet fell, get crocs. I don't think clogs make you look unprofessional at all, you stand for 12 hours + a day... be comfy!

I'm a guy and I wear Dansko. Highly recommend it :)

EDIT: NVM, you don't want dansko. I don't know what else than, cause what I've always been wearing them for work.

i just bought a pair of Spira. check them online.

honestly... i wear a pair of skate shoes. i find them good to walk around in a lot, and there stylish for guys. try circa.com or something and just take a look, mine are black with red and red laces. people always comment on them and i find pt's remember me better simply because my shoes are bright and different. you can always get inserts as well if you feel you need more support.
