Class of 2014

Hey is there any people out there going into their last year of nursing school?!!??!

I'm in an ADN program and though I hope to have only two more semesters to go (god willing I don't fail) I'm so excited I only have one more year till graduation!

So I guess I want to start a tad bit early in celebrating our achievements, ups and downs, successes, breakthroughs, and whatever else we have and will face in our past and future experiences in our nursing programs.

Comment with your stories, hopes, support, prayers, shout outs whatever you feel like saying about our class of 2014!

I forgot to add that I graduate may 2014 if all goes well that is :D

I have two semesters left and cannot be more thrilled! When I took my final last week and passed 2nd semester I could not believe that I was half way through the program. I remember orientation like it was yesterday and I feel blessed to be where I am at today :) Good luck to you all!!

I graduate may 2014 as well. I will be back in after sitting out a year after dropping one of my courses. My original date was may 2013 and it was horrible watching most of my old classmates graduate without me. But oh well life goes on and I know next year will be here very soon:yes:. Anyway good luck everyone, relax and enjoy the summer the roller coaster will start back up before we know it!!!

Class of 2014 stand up!!!

I'm right there with you all! 3 more semesters left for my BSN program, can't wait! Summer is a very welcome break but I'm antsy to be done as well. I'm sure ill find ways to keep myself busy, my house is soo dirty. Lol

I am in my second semester. I will graduate in December of 2014

Hello all!

I'm currently in my second semester and will be graduating August 2014, then start my BSN the following spring! Wish I could start the fall but there is not enough time for my boards to be in before school starts.

Anyways cannot wait to finish this chapter and be a real nurse! So glad to be on this journey with you guys! Let's keep this going until graduation!

I will graduate from my BSN in May 14. I actually am off this summer. It's my first summer off from school in a few years. With all that's been going on with my health it's a very welcomed break! Plus my kids are excited to have mommy back for a bit :) Call me crazy, but I found a workbook for my med/surg text that I was thinking about buying and making my way through over this summer to make sure I really got the foundation of everything down for the NCLEX next year. I ended up not buying it yet, though, because I'm realizing I must be a lunatic or something. It feels unnatural to not have a boat load of schoolwork piled up in front of me.[/quote']

You are insane! What book is it?

I became a class of 2014 because I failed my last semester...so now I have a year left instead of one semester. But I know a lot of people who had to repeat this level so I'm taking it in stride. I will still graduate and reach my goal so I should be thankful. I try to look at it as just having a stronger foundation.

I also became a class of 2014 because I failed a class. The program changed (for the better, IMO) content around, however that meant that I had to fall back 2 semesters instead of one. Had that change not happened, I'd be graduating Dec. 2013... I also look at what happened as an opportunity to have that much stronger nursing foundation. I finished this past semester on a pretty good note and also took to teaching/guiding/mentoring my fellow classmates because I'd had all that material before. That only helped me more because that meant that I had to really know the material... and teaching it definitely reinforces the material. So, while it meant I'm now a 2014 (projected) grad, I'm a far better nurse for it!
