CHPN Exam

Hi,

I'm planning on taking my CHPN exam later this month. For those of you who have experience with this, I would appreciate your advice on the best way to study, prepare for the exam, etc!

Thanks :D

Did you take a course? I just read the study guide and flew by the seat of my pants...

Hi Tewdles,

Thanks for your reply.

I purchased "core curriculum for Hospice/Palliative Nurses" and a Study Guide to go with it.

No review courses are offered in my area.

Hey

I did CHPN last june and passed. With the study guide that I used, it was helpful, but in my opinion I felt the test was a bit harder than the study guide type questions. As the last reply, I also when taking it sort of flew by the seat of my pants!!!

good luck!!!!!!!

I took the exam two years ago and found it to be harder than the questions in the study guide. Just like boards, its all about test taking and choosing the best answer. There will always be two that will leave you guessing. Its a great certification and preparing for it made me a better hospice nurse. Good luck to you!

I need to start reviewing for my CHPLN. My certification ends in December and I want to take the test over the summer. I just remember the test being much harder than the study guide questions. Good luck!
