CHOP- BSN only??

Hello, all!

As I was searching through the site I did not see any recent posts about the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia (CHOP). Has anyone recently been offered a position with an Associate degree? Do they only hire BSNs?

On the same topic, do you find it appropriate to apply to "BSN only" positions if you are actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree (while being an Associate prepared nurse)?

Thank you in advance for any input!

From what I have been gathering, most hospitals, especially large networks, seem to be only hiring BSN's. Some prefer a Masters.

There are lots of talented, skilled nurses who are not bachelor's prepared.

There are also areas of the country and depending on the size and needs of the facility, they are hiring ADN nurses.

Good luck in your endevours.

I live in the area and they only hire BSN nurses. We are so saturated here with new nurses because we have many schools just churning out new grads.

This.

What I do know is that they may hire ADNs for their clinic positions; HR told me this when I was interviewing for a position there.

I had a BSN and worked there for some time.
