    A chimeran is a single organism with two different sets of genetic material. For instance when a set of twins (two separate zygotes) fuse together during the germ layers being formed in development.

    A person could have their offspring be unrelated to them via a paternal/maternal DNA test, but the offspring could be their neice/nephew.
