Hello everyone,
I had a question on one of my tests that a child is going for chemo and the nurse tells the child that you are going to lose your hair after chemo Temporarily and the mom is telling nurse why are you telling this in front of my child?
A. It is the side effect of medication
B. It is the body image
C. She has the right to know
I don't remember other options

The child still has the right to know what is going to happen - never a good idea to lose the trust of children by lying or hiding the truth.

The answer is D. This nurse needs to work on her assessment and communication skills.

This is not how this happens. A child who can understand needs to be prepared about hair loss but the nurse isn't going to have this conversation without the parents' knowledge or without the child life specialist. More often than not, it's Child Life that directs these conversations.
There is a question about post delivery that after 9 hours of delivery a patient needs to void what should the nurse assist her with voiding?
A. Get her a bed pan
B. Help her to the toilet
C. Get a commode for her
Please let me know when is the best time to start ambulating a woman after delivery
