The child still has the right to know what is going to happen - never a good idea to lose the trust of children by lying or hiding the truth.

The answer is D. This nurse needs to work on her assessment and communication skills.

Specializes in Pedi.

This is not how this happens. A child who can understand needs to be prepared about hair loss but the nurse isn't going to have this conversation without the parents' knowledge or without the child life specialist. More often than not, it's Child Life that directs these conversations.

There is a question about post delivery that after 9 hours of delivery a patient needs to void what should the nurse assist her with voiding?

A. Get her a bed pan

B. Help her to the toilet

C. Get a commode for her

Please let me know when is the best time to start ambulating a woman after delivery
