Chamberlain accept people who have failed out of a program?

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Hello

after recently being kicked out of a nursing program, Im taking this summer time reflect and work on my clinical skills.

Ill be working a in a doctor's office all summer and get a CNA license since my first semester classes counted as the course. I am also getting therapy to manage my anxiety better in a clinical setting.

This fall semester I will be taking easy science classes to raise my GPA back up and graduate with another bacherlors degree this coming December. I know the requirements for Chamberlain is a 2.75 but if I decide to change my career path it will be safer that way.

Well Chamberlain in Tinley gave me a call and told me I meet the requirements and told me I need to pass the HESI and my GPA was right on point.

I even mentioned that I failed my nursing program and are willing to work around that.

I feel like they are most lenient since the campus is one of the new campuses in Illinois right now.

Does anyone know if they ever let people who have gone through the same situation as me?

I recently started with Chamberlain this past week. This is my first time in a nursing program. They accepted the majority of my credits from Broward college. However, I will say that yes they do accept many people who failed their particular nursing program. There are several people in my classes that failed because of a few points. All you need to do is re-take the HESI and they may work with your gpa. I'm not sure where their cut-off is but I do know many people are taking advantage of their BSN program. Best of luck to you.

As a Graduate of Chamberlain, let me say just because they accept you even though you failed out of a different program doesn't mean it will be easier Chamberlain is an accelerated program which means if you don't learn fast you'll get left behind One practice that Chamberlain does that I don't like it they accept you You pay and if you fail you don't take any credits with you It's a hard program but if you can study hard it's worth the effort

Thanks guys for the insight. Im aware it will be a tough program. Nothing you want is easy in life.

I feel like from all the evauation and going through a year in nursing school, I feel more familiar with it and if I can get another chance. I would do a lot better.

I did not have to take the Hesi to get into my school. I will be relaxing for fall and then go to Chamberlain in Spring or reapply to my nursing program for the spring semester so I don't think I am prepared to go back for the fall until I know I got every help I can get.

@Hpy_Vly_RNBSN So happy to finally chat with someone on here that has graduated.

The program is definitely no joke and they made it very clear that you work hard and nothing is handed to you. I have been non-stop since I started and it's only week 2. Any advice about the school, teachers or financing it that you can pass along??

It is non stop for 2 years... The school is a for profit school so it's expensive and hard to deal with at times I had to take max financial aid and that still didn't cover it They do have an in such loan called the Chamberlain loan they didn't offer it to me until I couldn't get financing from other places but ask about it if you are having trouble paying. I went to the Arlington campus which was brand new when I started It had some kinks to work out but all in all I learned a lot and passed my Nclex first try. One thing the OP should know is that Chamberlain lives and breathes by the HESI you take one for entrance and then all of your finals in the nursing classes are Hesi plus there is an exit Hesi you must score a 900 on to graduate but it honestly helps you from day one learn how to pass the NCLEX Good luck

Hello there,

I am curious, Where is Chamberlain located?

I know many students who failed out of Broward College nursing program and was accepted into Chamberlain.

WHy cant you transfer credits when you leave the school?

You can transfer Gen Eds I think but it's part of the program that the Nursing credits do not transfer

Most nursing classes will not transfer from one school to another. Best to you in your studies.

Koitriona, BSN, RN

Well the chamberlain school of nursing asked me to give my syllabus from the nursing courses I took to gain possible credit transfer. So maybe there is hope!
