CFCC Fall 2017

Hey everyone,

I have applied for the ADN program at Cape Fear Community College for the Fall of 2017. I recently took my PSB-RN and I just got my scores back today after anxiously awaiting the results. I was looking to see if anyone else that has applied for CFCC this Fall would also like to share their experiences and point count totals so we can try to get through this wait together. I am overjoyed with my results and wish everyone the best of luck!

The PSB is fairly difficult in some areas. I would suggest preparing a month or so in advance. I used a black and yellow book that I found on amazon to help prepare for the PSB. I scored very well in all categories including spelling. Just so you're aware and don't freak out.. I only got 35% of the spelling questions correct and still managed to score above 85% percentile. Don't sweat it too much.

To answer the prereqs question, yes! Absolutely that's best. CFCC is not a joke when it comes to their program. We lost a lot of people our first semester and throughout the program. If/When you are accepted just make sure you dedicate all the time you need to do well in nursing school. It will fly by and it's so worth it in the end.

Good luck to you!

Thank you for your response! So did you have all A and what kind of GPA do they expect to be competitive

I did have all A's going into it. However, your PSB scores impact you the most. Make sure you study and prepare at least a month or two in advance before taking the test.
