CEP - Immunizations?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to get titers and the other immunizations needed for the CEP. I don't have any of my records, but I know I've had the MMR, Hep B, and Varicella vaccinations. I wasn't sure if it'd be better to go to CVS or Walgreens to just get the vaccinations again or if it'd be best to go somewhere to actually get the titers.

Thank you!

I would get the titers, that way you can potentially save money on the shots.

The titers are going to be a better bet for most of the immunizations you need. I'd say the TDAP would be something that if you don't have a record or recollection of having to just get it. It's kind of a scramble to do it all before the program starts so I hope you can get them all done!

Don't forget about the two stage TB or get the blood test. If you work for a hospital, the TB blood test can be done for cheap or free. I work for Banner and they did the TB blood test for free. I hope that helps.

When I started, it was way more expensive to go through Walgreens or CVS. I used requestatest.com and went to a draw site near my house. They're currently running a special for $139 using LabCorp or $149 using Quest for the panel that includes MMR, hep B, and varicella.

Do you have health insurance? Your PCP should be able to order the titer tests for you & should be able to do any immunizations you may need (at least mine did). Usually through your doc titer tests/immunizations are cheap/free depending on insurance coverage of course.
