CCRN Fright!

Published

Scheduled to take the CCRN certification March 5th!

Initially I got my hands on the "Pass CCRN" book, but mannnnnnn am I having trouble getting through this thing! It's incredibly detailed and huge. My intent was to read through the cardiovascular and pulmonary sections, as those entail most of the test questions. But unnghh! However I'm grateful for the amount of test questions that comes with the thing.

So, I figured perhaps I should switch it up and incorporate audio into this painful reading! Anyone have any success using "Adult CCRN Exam Secrets" audio book?

I've been away from opening a text book for 12 years. REALLY feeling that pain right now!

The Pass CCRN book can be overwhelming. I mainly used the CDROM of sample questions that came with the book.

Se if a coworker or your unit educator has the Laura Gasparis CCRN CDs or DVDs. Those would be very helpful.

hello!

yes the pass the ccrn book is way intimidating. I used the cd but did not read the book. I watched laura g, took notes and studied. Locally I also took a review class. I also got a ccrn review book from the library and read the whole thing and took notes.

good luck!

I took the CCRN exam 7 yrs ago. I remember it being VERY heavy with Swan Ganz numbers and hemodynamics. I used Laura Gasparis Vonfrolio's VHS tapes, the disc from PASS CCRN and Laura's CCRN review book. I also saw Laura LIVE at a seminar! She's a HOOT that one!

Good luck!:nono:

I feel your pain - my CCRN Pediatric exam is February 12. I'm doing an AACN online review right now. Taking a week's vacation to put myself through a 'boot camp'. Mapping out a study strategy right now. Trying to decide whether to stay home for boot camp and study in my office- or find a study spot away from the family. Or even away from FREEZING cold Indiana!! :)

Good luck

Laura Gasparis vonfrolio CDs with the Ccrn pearl book that she gives out during her live seminar reviews, pass Ccrn cd and the Aacn cd. That's all I used. If you can see her live, it'll be a bonus. She is hilarious and makes learning easy. Good luck. You'll do fine ❤

I agree get the laura gasparis dvds. worth every penny. and do the questions on pass ccrn cd
