2014 CCP Nursing Program

I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?

Yes I do have the patches on all of them. Thanks for the answers!!! I was ready to do some notes but I am a bit lost because it is a lot and I don't even know what to write because like someone said here at CCP forum I think everything is important

I agree, I havent taken any notes; however, i have been using the review questions at the end of the chapters.

Really your shirt has the CCP department of nursing patch?? My shirt has embroidery with nothing but Community College of Philadelphia on it. The pants have this small blue patch that says CCP as well and the jacket has the big CCP Department of Nursing Patch and then the little blue patch on one of the cargo pockets. I talk to Flynn and O'Hara because I just figured the patch would be on the shirts as well but the customer service rep reviewed what the specifications were and they matched what I had. I just wanted to check with others to see what they received.

Only my pants n jacket had the patch. My shirts have embroidery on them. I only bought one recommended book because I didn't have enough money to get more.

Okay thanks! I was really wondering about the shirts. I will see how many recommended books I can get I have some bookstore credit left that I can use. All of these books are killing me....lol!!

Guys, I know this is a stupid question but when you guys are reading the books are you guys taking notes. I'll be honest, I am a bit overwhelmed by how much we have to read. I am having a hard time reading the book while staying awake... LOLz

I'm not taking notes either. I figure they will give us an outline of what's really important and I'll go from there. The fundamentals is def a zzzzz.... But I am getting thru it. The pharmacology is an easy read thou! And I haven't begun on the assessment book. Glad I am not the only 1 feeling this way. Tryna get it all done before class. Seems like it's gonna get hectic quickly! For my sneakers I grabbed the sketcher go walk 2. All white. They are not the prettiest but are soo light and comfortable!!! I bought them on some advice from a nursing student in her last semester and said they really are comfy for the long standing shifts!
