Castle Branch?

Published

Anyone's nursing program require Castle Branch? Anyone have experience with the process? I just find it very unusual to mail in fingerprints. Maybe I am just being paranoid but with everything that is going on in the world, I just am very comfortable with mailing in my fingerprints. Really the whole background check process is unusual. I was reading that they contact friends and family. Can someone just explain the entire process to me if possible?

Thank you so much!

My school used castlebranch but it was all online. I did my fingerprints at the UPS store (FL). I would contact your school if you have any doubts because your school is the one who sets up the requirements. Castlebranch is just the third party that monitors to save them time.

So you didn’t mail them in? You just went somewhere and did it on a machine?

I have to mail in fingerprints to my state agency for a level one fingerprint clearance card. This has nothing to do with Castlebranch though. I just need to upload my actual fingerprint clearance card to castlebranch electronically. I already have one but it will expire during the program which is why I have to resubmit to my state agency for a renewal. I have maintained a fingerprint clearance card for the past 15 years due to my previous job and I have always had to have the fingerprints done in person and mailed to the agency.

I did use castle branch, but I didn't have to do fingerprints for school just the background check. I did have to be fingerprinted for my nursing licence though and I mailed them in to the board. Its most likely a requirement of the hospital you will do clinicals at that fingerprinting be done, they are all different.

My school uses Castle Branch and they had us only do the background through them. They didn't contact any family or friends. It took 5-7 busniess days for results to be complete. The fingerprints were done by Identogo where we had to go to the DMV and get fingerprinted on a machine.

One of the major schools around here uses it. At our school people who went to the VA I think still had to go get fingerprinted I believe so that may be why they just have everyone do it at the other school.
