Feb 3, 201412 yr Who else will be starting 2/24/14? I can't believe my journey is almost over...I am ready for a break! From what I have read on other threads, it seems like a pretty basic class.
Feb 4, 201412 yr Congrats on finishing up the program! I am just starting. Any advice on successful completion? Did you take one class at a time or did you double up on any of them? I am starting with Nursing A and the only classes other than Nursing classes that I need are STAT and dev across the lifespan. Hoping to crank this out fast. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you, RCRRN
Feb 6, 201412 yr Hi RC. Most of the courses have threads if you look back that are very informative as far as specifics and how heavy each courseload is. Doubling up depends on your life situation. If unsure, try one and see how it goes. Some of the 5 week nursing courses are killer, some are not so bad. Best wishes!
Feb 9, 201412 yr Author Congrats on finishing up the program! I am just starting. Any advice on successful completion? Did you take one class at a time or did you double up on any of them? Thank you, RCRRNI took one class at a time and it has taken be about 3 years to complete. During that time frame I did take a 9 month break last year due to unfortunate circumstances. I was suppose to finish up July '13, but will finish in March...Just a few more weeks to go!
Feb 12, 201412 yr I have doubled and tripled up the entire time and will finish in about 13 months. Tripling was a bit much. The second week of vulnerable sucks and health assessment is just a bunch of copying the book. It's super easy (so long as you remember the details: bilateral, digits x 10, bpm, mmHg, etc.) but it's time consuming. Take stats at a local community college unless you are really good at it. Math courses through this program are nuts.Research is its entire own circle of hell. Take that class alone at all costs. And take it at the end. I have had more than one person tell me it will burn you out so take it after everything else is done. Everything else is doable and I felt fine doubling. For reference, I have no kids but i do work 50-60hrs/week.
Feb 13, 201412 yr Capstone is a breeze compared to research & vulnerable populations. Good luck guys! It will definitely feel amazing turning in that last assignment.Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
Feb 21, 201412 yr I got an email from the teacher notifying us of our coaches. Bring it on! I am ready for this to be over quickly and painlessly!
Feb 25, 201412 yr Is anyone else feeling like this Capstone project is not explained very well? Ugh, I am going to make up another assignment and hope that I am doing the right thing.
Mar 2, 201412 yr How are things going for you all in Capstone! How exciting that you are almost finished with your BSN. I take this class next in April! Just wondered the level of difficulty. I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel myself. I will be taking Texas Government along with Capstone even though I live in South Carolina:) Go figure! Congrats to all!!!!!

I think it's because they want you to form your own ideas on how you should do the assignment. It kind of gives you some autonomy in a way. I learned to like that about capstone real fast haha.Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
