Hi, I would like to complete my RN to BSN online and live in the San Antonio, TX area. I like the fact that Grand Canyon has 5 week classes and have no issue with writing papers etc. My concern is the capstone project/preceptorship. I am new to the area and don't have the same connections I used to have as far as knowing who to ask or where to go. I heard that finding a preceptor can be very challenging. I'd hate to go through all of this and not be able to complete the program. I am an older student that worked in Neuro-Trauma for over a decade and have always wanted my BSN for the sake of completing that part of my education. I don't currently work in the field at the moment due to spinal surgery recovery though I am ready to do something new. If you are in the area and have completed the program, I welcome your feedback. Congrats on finishing up the program! I am just starting. Any advice on successful completion? Did you take one class at a time or did you double up on any of them? I am starting with Nursing A and the only classes other than Nursing classes that I need are STAT and dev across the lifespan. Hoping to crank this out fast. Any advice would be appreciated! Hi, I am starting the Prof Nursing A class on Feb 24th under provisional acceptance and I have a few questions for those that have taken this class. I am wondering how hard it is, and what are the expectations? Are there weekly papers, etc? I haven't been able to find out any information and I as I am a mom of 3 kids, I am just wanting to know if this is doable. I am in the CA market so they are not hiring ADN at all except for in SNF and thought I would use this time to finish my BSN. Any advice to successfully complete the program? Thank you, RCRRN
