Can someone pls answer this...

Hi,

Just want to know, when I-140 & I-485 are approved can you leave the employer that filed the petition for another employer? Will you still be able to receive your GC when visa becomes available if you do so or are you stuck with the current employer till you have your GC?

Thanks!

There are no green cards available and won't be for a long time, it will be hard to find an employer since many hospitals are downsizing. Others may add more, but I don't think you need to find an employer until the retrogression is lifted.

Do you already have these filed? if not then you are not going to as I485 is currently not accepted and expect it to take a few years before this window will open.

I already filed both I-140 and I -485 and have EAD. I just want to know if I'm stuck with my current employer till I actually receive my GC or can I get another RN job with another employer once both the I-140 and I-485 have been approved even though I don't yet have the GC because of retrogression.

Thanks!
