May 23, 201115 yr Hey Everybody,I have applied to the Calhoun part time/evening ADN program and just wondered if anybody can tell me about it?Any information would be great. Are there any books/specific topics that I should brush up on for the first semester?Do they require white shoes? Are the clinicals mostly on Saturdays like I have heard?Anyone work full time while doing the program? Thanks for any insight. Ever Hopeful, Relysh
May 31, 201115 yr I had 2 A's and a B going into the Evening program, but that was before the TEAS testing. I'd say you have a good chance of getting in!!
May 31, 201115 yr Thanks for responding back to me so quickly. I will keep my fingers crossed, I know what to look for in the mail, LOL.VSBlonde, I have read alot of your posts on here, you are so helpful!
Jun 2, 201115 yr Thanks! I've learned a lot here and I was grateful for everyone that shared info with me ahead of time. It didn't make the wait any easier, but it helped pass the time!
Jun 9, 201115 yr I have a question. I have also applied for the part time evening program. When you pick 1,2 or 3 do they try to put you in regardless if they couldn't get you in your first choice? Do you get to decide whether to be in one of your other choices? or do you just get denied by your first choice?ThanksKim
Jun 9, 201115 yr I applied for both Full time Day & Part Time Evening. I was selected for both and then I had to mail back a letter letting them know which spot I wanted, so they could offer the free spot to the next student on the list.
Jun 24, 201114 yr Author Got my letter last night! I made it in!! yay! Anybody else find out yet?Relysh
Jun 25, 201114 yr Did you get into the Daytime or Evening Program??Congrats on your acceptance. It is overwhelming & you will feel like cattle being herded through gates the first semester, but hang in there.
Jun 25, 201114 yr Author I was accepted into the evening program, which is what I wanted so I am happy. Just looking at the packet that came with the letter is a bit overwhelming. I'm okay with that right now though. Thanks!
