Hello,
Do you guys/gals feel sometime that you are getting burnout of school. I feel this and I work out, I eat better, try to get sleep (haha). However, I seem to feel numb with school. It feels as if I am just going though the process. When I was in pre-nursing, I had so much passion. Do you ever feel like numb from the "nursing process - school".
Just wondered if I was alone? If so how do you combat it.
I am working in healthcare now 2 days a week. I'm a former medic, work out 3/4 times a week. Eat as healthy as I can. I just can't seem to shake the burnout feeling? Any thoughts on your experiences?

Lol yes!!!! It took me 3 years to do the pre reqs and it was not easy due to outside circumstances. Now that I'm in my program, mind you I'm just about to finish my lpn to RN transitions course not even half way thru, I'm already brain dead lol. Just keep the finish line in sight, imagine walking across the graduation stage, then burning your nursing noted after!

It is common. Yet, you know the light is at the end of the tunnel in terms of graduation and the boards. Keep pushing forward. Talk to people, try to find areas where you can encourage others, and in turn be encouraged.

I hit the wall hard in my third semester of nursing school. Like many people, I had a family and a full time job. The days I thought about giving up far outweighed the days I didn't. I got through it by giving myself small goals to reach. Sometimes my goal was just to make it through one more day.
It's been two years since I graduated, and honestly I'm still in shock that I made it. However, I am greatful every day that I stuck it out. I have a job I enjoy, and an income that allows me to travel on my time off.
In short, there is no magic trick other than to just keep going. One day you will be so glad you did.
