Burn Out!!

Hey All,

I'm new to the forums and I just wanted to get a quick post in say what's up to everybody. I'm from the Bay Area and I'm currently in Nursing school. I'm about 8 months from graduating but I'm having the hardest time staying motivated. I was just wondering if any of you got any advice for a burnt out student. What kinds of things do you all do to keep yourself from getting burnt out? Thanks in advance.

I hated the paper work and just tried to get as much out of clinical (which was my strong point). I also worked part time as a student nurse at a very large hospital. It helped me to stay focused on my long term goals. It will be over soon and you will be so happy when you pass your boards. Hang in there. Diane

I just try to make sure I have some "me" time and/or "we" time (wife and I) every day......when I let school consume all my waking time is when I feel overwhelmed and burning out ..... I decompress by working out/yoga, playing my guitar, reading, whatever - sometimes ya just have to step back and relax

Every single person in my life is telling me I am making a big mistake. I know that if I show even the slightest trepidation, everyone's advice will be to bail and bail now. Gonna suck on the bad days cause I will have to not let on and put a happy face on everything because the minute I do not, I will hear a ton of I told you so's. Well, I am doing this for me anyway and as long as I am happy with it, who cares.
