I know there are second degree programs for people seeking a BSN but I didn't go that route. I have a bachelors in business administration/marketing and an ASN. I've decided would like to go on and get my BSN and eventually my masters. I've been having trouble finding BSN programs that accept the general education credits from my first bachelors. I've been debating on what would be best for me... entering a RN to MSN bridge program or a BSN program that will accept only some of my credits. I am not positive of which MSN concentration I would like to pursue yet, which is really holding me back from applying.
I was hoping that someone would have been through a similar situation or could recommend any programs. I am looking in to relocating- so any school recommendation helps, online or in the Pittsburgh area preferably though. Thank you for your help! :)

Did you look into the University of Pittsburgh?

I would think your options are wide open for online RN-BSN programs. I just compared UTA's (University of Texas at Arlington) online RN-BSN out of state tuition to the University of Pittsburgh, and it looks like it would cost about the same, even though you are out of state for Texas. I came up with $9,464 per semester for out of state tuition at UTA, calculated based on 15 hours per semester (just a guess) plus the upcharges for the nursing school. The University of Pittsburgh says their tuition for the school of nursing is $9,613 per semester, in-state tuition. I am pretty sure if you contacted UTA, they would have a cheaper bundle cost for the RN-BSN program that's not advertised on the "per-credit-hour" tuition page (they do locally). So it may actually be cheaper to go out of state? If I were you, I would start to look around!

Ohio University has an online RN-BSN program. I think it is $157/credit hour for out of state tuition.
