I am planning to start my BSN program in two more semesters. My question is do you have to wait until you earn your BSN or can you take your NCLEX during the program. After so many classes are completed.
Thanks

Check with your state board. Most states require that you finish school before taking NCLEX. Calfironia is the only that I know doesn't have this requirement, but there might be others.
I'll move this post to the PA forum where people in that state would be likely to know.
Good luck!

For me i'll say, wait till you finish b4 you take ur nclex so that you'll do it once and for all by God's grace. You shouldnt rush it because i guess you will learn things that will perhaps help you in your nclex exams. On the contrary,if you've done ur RN_ADN,then i'll say.you have to take it and start working b4 you finish just like me that want to go back and do my BSN after i must have worke for some time.Everything depends on you but i'll advise you not to rush it to avoid saying,'had i known'.

Thanks for your advice. I will wait until I am finished with the BSN to take the NCLEX.

In Pa, you are not able to take the NCLEX until you finish you BSN program. In fact, before you test you must turn in an ATT- application to test. The ATT requires the signature of the BSN program director stating that you finishing all BSN requirements and clinical hours. They again run background shecks etc, then send you a special testing number that you must have to even register for the NCLEX.
