Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get my BSN and was wondering if getting my BS in nursing is the same as a BSN? I'm looking into this RN to BS program with a major in nursing.
Thanks :)

Ha, when I saw the title- i thought this was a humorous post... a BSN can sometimes be a lot of BS- if you know what I mean.
Sorry, i'm just letting off steam as I study for exams- and your post seemed the place to start

There was a post about this not too long ago. They are equivalent. Schools with BSN degrees have their own separate nursing program. Classes you take will be with other nursing students. Schools with BS in Nursing tend to have nursing as some other department and you may share classes with students that are in health related fields.

Degree awarded by the university= BS with a concentration in nursing
Degree awarded by a college of nursing within the larger university= BSN
