BS to Bsn program vs pre-nursing adn to bsn

Hello

I didn't get into any of the bsn nursing programs that I applied to. But I did get accepted into my second major provided at cal state La and Csun for public health.

But it I recently recieved a letter from mount saint Mary's university a week ago saying that I was accepted into their pre-nursing adn program.

This is left me in a predicament to try and decide which path is better for me. In the end I do have the same path of getting my bsn and possibly looking into being a public health nurse in the future

Im looking for advice. In your experience in getting your degree and the program's you were in.

So I have the option of

1. Csun for public health -> apply to an accelerated nursing program for bachelors...(I'm just a little concerned if I can handle the intensive courses and if I'm good under pressure)

or

2. Mount saint Mary pre-nursing-> interview for direct nursing adn program (depends if I get in because it isn't guaranteed)->then applying to any cal state and mount saint Mary to bridge to bsn.

Thank you for reading my post.

Would you be able to interview for the ADN program and then if you are not accepted, choose public health school?

HI thanks for responding to me!

Unfortunately I thought I could defer my admission from csun public health but today I called and they told me it can not be done.

Kind of bums me out and leaves me even more at the fork on the road.

I can reapply to csun for the spring though. I'll possibly apply to other schools as well now that I think about it. That way I won't be banking on just one thing.

can u pay the deposit then withdraw?

What is a pre-nursing ADN program? Does that mean you are still doing pre-reqs and then applying to get into the ADN program?

For csun or mount at Mary?

I already paid my deposit for mount said Mary.

Yes I am allowed to make my deposit and then change my mind.

for csun I just don't register in classes but idk for mount.

i chose mount at the moment and I know I can reapply to csun as back up in October

Pre-nursing means you still have to finish pre-reqs. I guess I missed taking a philosophy class that I wasn't notified of by the counselor that I spoke to and since it is a catholic school you have to take a religious studies class.

i would just be taking 2 pre-reqs that I missed taking.

It it means I don't fully have to reapply again as in write my personal statement and such but when I finish the pre-reqs I was told I would need to interview and provide my teas score which I could retake before. I am not guaranteed a spot but if I continue with a good gpa and such I have a shot of gettin in direct nursing for the spring.

Btw I like your icon photo. Sorry for taking forever to respond.

I just realized that I can just reapply to csun for the spring in October if I don't get into mount.
