I went in person to the advising center and asked specifically to talk to the nursing advisor, he went through all the paperwork I had with my HESI scores then took me to the health center so I could get all my titers and shot records signed off and double checked..very helpful

I forgot because you are new you have to post so many posts before you can send messages. Okay, let me gather the information now. I would still TTEP just to verify some of the information is still accurate as I received this information last year so just FYI but sending it your way now. ?

Definitely check with your PCP first...some of the vaccines take a bit of time (Hep B mainly), I took the HESI at a Prometric testing center, u can basically pick your date and time..on top of that you have to provide positive titers for MMR, varicella and Hep B

Hep B requires 3 dosages over 6-7 months, each dosage has a waiting period. So if your blood work doesn’t come out positive for immunity and you haven’t started your vaccinations back in July/August your bloodwork won’t be ready for February Admissions

Hep B is a series of 3 shots given over a 6 month time period and then usually a 30 day wait period minimum to get the titer results you need for school

I got Twinrix on the accelerated schedule to speed everything up but it was really expensive, my insurance would only cover the 6 month shot type lol

Check with the school nurse to verify your shots and that way you’ll have everything ready for next semester. I hate you won’t be applying for this semester it sometimes it’s good because you get more time. Good luck hun and keep us updated!
