Has anybody taken the dosage calculation test?? how is it?? should i buy the book?? are there practice exams?? looks like i only have 2 shots to get the 90%, should be ok but want to make sure lol

I've read in other forums for previous years that it is best to buy the book and do the practice tests that are in the book. I hoping to take this on the 18th.

Does anyone know how the dosage calculation class works? I thought it was a one day workshop, is it not?

I took it and passed on my first try. I studied the book for a week and did the practice exams he gave and scored a 97. Math is my favorite and strongest subject but I suggest the book if you’re rusty in math. If you scored a 90+ on your hesi you should be fine. There are a questions that give data that you will not use to find the answers (useless data you should figure out is extra unneeded stuff)

The class is 4 hours long, first hour is review/any questions that you might have over problems in the practice test that might have given you a hard time. The other 3 hours is the Actual exam ... so you don’t even need to show up the first hour at all just the last 3 hours when the exam is given if you want.

The practice exam should be in eCampus with your “class” also he puts a conversion chart for you to print.. print it out and bring it with you. You’re allowed to use the one he provided.

I rented the book online ebook super cheap and I’m not stuck with a physical book

I actually never bought the book. I used the conversion paper and practice exams that were set on ecampus. In my case, however, I asked many of the nurses on my floor to show me how to convert those equations because they used to have to do it and once I got through a few of the questions, I was able to convert just about all of the equations without any help. Basically like @Tea said, class is 4 hours long with the first hour being a review. Use that review to ask about those questions!!! It helped me to verify that the way the nurse taught me to convert was the same way Mr. Meyer converted the questions. After that, he gives you 3 hours to take the test. You can use your phone for the calculator or bring your own.

oh ok. when I registered it said 11 weeks and Friday/Saturday so it confused me!

Schedule and Deadlines page say February 12-26 is Application period, I'm not trying to look desperate ?
