Brookhaven Fall 2020

Hey everyone! I decided to start this forum because I am a current transferring Nursing student moving from AR to TX. I am in need of all the tea on the program and faculty. Please feel free to leave comments! I’m just trying to get all of my ducks in a row now. I hope to meet someone of you all along this journey!

So nerve racking with the "15 min" time line. LOL. I sat there and watched my email at 12 and it didn't send through until I refreshed 3 minutes after it was sent to me ! I lost a few minutes. Hahaha.

@eriPackWOmen Those 15 minutes killed me LOL I freaked out I completely went blank for like 5 minutes! ?? glad I found this forum though ?‍♀️

So for our zoom interview is everyone going to join at the minute their interview is set or a little sooner?

Maybe you could ask a family member or friend to come over and help you out? Fortunately I have someone to watch my daughter. Even though she's 7 it seems like they need you the most when you tell them to please give you some time alone. LOL

nope. I dont have anyone. I'm on my own with this one. but I think the car will do at least for 30 minutes. I can make it look professional LOL

how old are your kids? You can't just start a movie (they've never seen) 10 minutes before the interview in another room?

Shauntil,

I think you should do it in the bathroom against a blank wall.. and mute your mic when you're not speaking so no sounds can interupt you and if you're yelling at your kids they won't hear you.

I have a 2 year old and an 11 year old. The 2 year is the one I worry about. He's a screamer unfortunately and he'll only stay quiet for so long before he wants to know what I'm doing because I'm not near him LOL

I think I figured it out! I have a big, long walk in closet. I am thinking I will do it in there because when I close the doors its block out quite a bit of noise so I think I will do that. Hopefully, the kids can hold out for 30 minutes. LOL

I thought mine went really well, just Google "nursing school interview questions" and be prepared to answer all of them , each 1 I studied was asked so I felt very prepared for their questions...they were pretty chill about the process, I think they understand how unorthodox the situation is so they might be going easy on us...definitely learn how to answer STAR behavioral questions
