Brookhaven Fall 2012

Anyone here applying to Brookhaven's nursing program next month for their Fall 2012 admission?

I am..I need to take the HESI one more time in hopes of getting a higher score. The only support class that I do not have complete is End of Life so I hope with a higher HESI score and a good interview score I will have enough points to get in!

I know I wasn't the original poster about the scheduling nightmares, but to name a few...

Class days changing with little notice, having to do clinicals on a holiday that we were supposed to get off, clinical days being changed or added with little or no notice.

If you work or need to work it is best to have a flexible job that is okay with you taking off with little warning.

Thanks for answering! That does sound really frustrating. I don't think I will be working during the program though so I should be okay. I feel bad to those who do have to work though or who have children and need more concrete schedules!!

The only thing I am worried about is my husband and I share 1 car. I wonder if I will be able to find a classmate to carpool with at least to and from clinical sites. I only live 3 miles from Brookhaven too so I'm not too worried about getting to school, just getting to clincals.

@briterz, I can totally understand that worry! When you make it in I am sure people will help carpool. Keep us in mind if you need a ride!

Within the next two hours we should know! And I'm sure you could find a carpool group!

Thanks guys...I am pretty sure finding a carpool group won't be too hard. It's just something that I am thinking about.

Hmm..I will be very sad if they don't send out emails today!

Oh Lord, they better! I keep getting texts/emails from people asking if he has heard anything yet!

Starting to feel panicky! Ahhh!!

This is crazy! Are they waiting until they walk out of the office to hit "send" on the emails?!

@Stephanie that's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe so they can just start do the acceptances tomorrow and she doesn't have her phone ringing for the next hour.

Yeah I remember we received the interview email at like 4pm BUT if you look at the information line of that email (where it states the date, time, sender, etc.) it says it was sent at 9am. That means they created the email early morning but didn't send it until 4pm!
