Bridging Program for Nurses (Canada)

The term "bridging programme" applies to course work for LPNs working towards a BScN or a diploma RN wanting to obtain their degree. These are nurses educated in Canada.

So it's LPN to BScN? How many months will it takes?

Have you been told by the province that you need to do some sort of course to meet their requirements?

Here in the Philippines the Bachelor of Science in Nursing takes 4 years and I'm done with it. I'm now confused if what is the equivalent of BSN here to the Nurses in Canada. I want to compare the credits in Canada to the credits here.

In Vancouver Community College they require me to have my credentials here plus the IELTS/TOEFL.

I want to know how many months will it takes to finish the program if ever I'm accepted by the institution.

I think you are confused.

Have you applied to CRNBC and had your education assessed? Have you done a SEC assessment?

Only then will you know what your educational deficits are, if any.

I agree, if you haven't applied to the college of RN's then how do you know what is required?

In Canada, a university degree requires 16 years of education (12 yrs of highschool and a another 4 yrs in university)

If you do not have 16 years of education to complete your degree it may be scrutinized closely by the college of nurses in the province that you are applying to.

Thanks for that info Madame, now I only have 14 years of education. So it's like BSN here is equivalent to LPN in Canada?? If that's the case, I'm going to take LPN to BScN transition studies??? Are you familiar with that program Madame? I saw it in VCC that's 1 of the programs they're offering.
