Bridging Program in Australia

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Can anyone suggest about accommodation in Perth near IHNA campus, approx rent per week and distance from IHNA...

Hi all. Please must I be a registered nurse to take the bridging program? As in,can a fresh graduate take the bridging course?

I was sure at first to get the accommodation from ihna that's because i have no idea where else to find one if not there. But i am blessed enough to be offered by my good friend who is in perth to stay in the apartment where she and her husband are renting.

Though i am still looking for other options if there are places where i could rent cheaper so i won't have to bother my friend anymore.

Perhaps it's good if we could look first for prospect classmates who are willing to share rooms then discuss about it privately.

Hi can u suggest me any good accomodation place near IHNA perth

yeah. but ACN have long waiting list

Yoi are right.btw you r from which city from India?

For those who already have a visa grant of sc 600, may i ask how did you book your accommodation as proof of a place to stay during the bridging course? I am currently gathering the requirements for the visa application and i am confused whether to book for a 5 week accommodation during theoritical class or book for the entire 12 weeks of my stay in australia. Anyone's input is very much appreciated.

Btw, the reason as to why i couldnt make arrangement yet for the whole and entire bridging course is that i am not sure where will i be assigned for the clinicals, and im still hoping to find future classmates here who are open for room sharing? TIA

It is advisable to get a place where you can stay for at least a week or two as first step... see gumtree or arbnb... at least you have a sure place to go when you arrive. Then you can scout a better place if the present one does not suit your needs.

Thanks for d reply. Appreciateí ½í±

Hi everyone! I would just like to ask if you guys sought the assistance of an agent in the processing of an AHPRA application? I understand that I need to register with AHPRA first before proceeding to applying for a bridging program. I haven't taken the IELTS yet but I am planning to take it soon. Thank you :)

PS. I am from the Philippines by the way :)

The process is pretty straightforward but then getting an agent would give you the convenience and assurance that you are doing the right thing at a price, of course.

Is a week or two booking of accommodation is accepted for the requirements in applying for the visa? Thank you

@arakin hello, when do you plan to take the English test? I will also take the exam as soon as possible and have to go through the whole APHRA application.
