Bridging Program in Australia

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Do you still have the copy of those hand-outs? can i ask a copy of it? if you dont mind, thanks :)

Sure. I don't have a scanner at home so i can't send it thru email. But i'll see if I can ask somebody to do it for me. I can send it thru post. Are you from manila?

HI Guys! I'm new year, just have some questions that's been running around my mind lately... wish someone could help me. Nyweyz, I'm going to Auz this AUg 1 for BP at AAON Univ of ballarat. I'm on a fly now pay later basis. (in short i have a huge debt ahead of me). I'm scared that if I dont land a job there i'll be damned. Is it really difficult to find a job as an RN in Auz these days? A firend of mind recently got his registration but it came longer than he expected. to extend his visa, he enrolled in a business course, apply for a student visa again and spent 3k dollars again. is there another way to extend your stay in Australia without paying that much? Thank you in Advance and Hope we all get lucky in our quest to land a job in the Land down under!

Hi everyone. Anyone for August intake at the Mercy Health? :)

Hi Ceridwyn, where can I find the "new grad Filipino forum"?

to those who are already enrolled in a bridging course in ACN, how long did u have to wait before u were given a sure slot in the intake? i just lodged my application there about 2 weeks ago..do u think i'd still have a chance to be included even in their latest intake for this year?

ACN is I'm sure is flooded by many applicants especially that they are the cheapest BP school.I applied to them last week of January and just got an offer letter last June 14 to be exact only to find out that they will give me a July 22 intake (??) If I were you, try to apply as much as you can especially if you're nearing your eligibility expiry. I really hoped to take my BP with them ever since however I was able to lodge a visa already with another school since they are the earliest to give the offer letter.

Funnybanana1989, give me your email add. I'll send them tonight. Got hold of a scanner already. By the way, did you have your xray taken already for the visa? thanks.

Hi ann leah, here's my email add "[email protected]", thank you very much ann, much appreciated.

Regarding the visa, i havent received yet the acknowledgement letter and the HAP ID (which will be needed for the medical exam). The SDP(via center) told me that the letter will be emailed to me from the embassy within 5-7 days upon receiving the documents that i sent.

after completing the bridging program hiw long would it take for ahpra to release the regiatration certificate?

Okay, thanks. The information on the hand-outs might be outdated so just check the websites provided.
