Hello everyone!
I was recently accepted into Brenau's new ABSN program and wanted to connect with other accepted students as well as prospective students. What are you guy's feelings regarding the program in general? I'm just ready to begin my career as a nurse the quickest route possible!

I graduated from Brenau and My advice is, if you have any other options for a nursing program, run....
There is so much wrong at this school that I can't begin to tell you. The ABSN will be nearly impossible with the program and Professors currently. They do not teach. It's beyond that though. Don't do it! Sorry, I know that's not what you want to hear but it's the truth.

Wow. So, after graduation did you feel ill-prepared to perform your duties as a RN?
They definitely do not prepare students to work as an RN. They almost lost their accreditation and had conditional accreditation for a while. Their accreditation is up for renewal again in 2020.
For the amount of money it costs to go there, you do not get quality education.

I have recently been accepted into Brenau's ABSN course as well. I've heard both mixed results for this school, but overall I have heard that it is a great University. I am hoping that all goes well and look forward to starting.
Congratulations! I've heard mixed reviews as well. I'm still in the process of deciding on which program to enroll in and I'm going to take the facts into consideration. My biggest reserve is from the cost of attendance.
Congratulations to you too! Can I ask what other schools you are looking to attend?
Kennesaw State and Georgia State are my other options. Did you apply to other programs?
I was waitlisted at Emory for their BSN otherwise I was looking at GSU's ASN. I like the idea of the smaller classes at Brenau so I'm excited for that. Also, because I studied overseas I don't have the proper pre reqs to apply to other schools right now unless I wait another year to get them done.
I contemplated about applying for Emory's ABSN+MSN program but I couldn't wrap my mind around paying that much for tuition. Lol. I'm sure Brenau will be an amazing experience for you. Good luck!
Thank you, and good luck to you too!
