Borders going out of business!!!!

Hello all, not sure if you guys are aware but all of the borders are going out of business. Check your local borders to see if any are still open. They have sales right now from 30 to 50% off. I am waiting for the Medical section to drop more. I did purchase Everything Nursing Book and NCLEX-RN which includes a CD and flash cards both for less than $20!!! I also got cookbooks really cheap!!! I'm going to need really easy recipes and meals for my family in the next year or so. Happy shopping!!!

    Most of the Border's retail outlets have been out of business for awhile. I thought their online shop was still in business though. They'll be back in some fashion or another after all the court proceedings. I'm not sure when they filed Chapter 11. (reorganizational bankruptcy)

    BARNES AND NOBLE FOR LIFE! But I can't deny a good sale :) I went last week and the medical books were only 25% off, and still hideously expensive compared to amazon.

    Nope.

    All stores are closing. It was sold to a liquidator weeks ago.

    I feel bad for those losing their jobs, but never one to pass up a deal, I scored a sweet deal on the Saunders and Lippincott NCLEX reviews.

    I bought my NCLEX review book and another NCLEX book the other day from Borders. I saved almost $27! It is sad that they're going out of business though. I would always study there with my nursing classmates... now we need to find another study spot!

    The Lippincott and books made incredibly easy are still too expensive. Hopefully in another week the prices will drop.

    I went to the local Border's a few days ago hoping to score some good deals, but even with the price drops, they were still too expensive for me in comparison to Amazon.
