BMCC Nursing Program FALL 2017

Wow everyone did so good on the Kaplan exam. I also took the test in the 31st. The writing part was so hard. That's what also bought my overall grade down to a 70. I am not feeling hopeful at all. My GPA is a 3.8 I am hoping we all get the phone call. But if not, I'll have to stick to the very expensive Beth Israel nursing school.

@ninjax that is still a great score and GPA! keep your fingers crossed! The writing tends to be the hardest portion of the exam for many! You have a great Gpa so you should be fine!

Does anyone know if the Critical Thinking score gets factored in? I scored a 75% on it. Not sure if it matters.

Thanks for all the support Jc1533! I am pretty sure you will get in. I'm taking developmental psychology now. A guy in my class got in the nursing program ( he took the test last semester) he said his overall score was a 79. He is starting this fall because something happened to him during the spring semester. He said they look at the overall grade. I think critical thinking is also averaged in to the overall grade.

I really do hope we all get in! This waiting is killing me! I'm so anxious! Based on what I've read they generally start making calls around the 3rd week of June. I received a call earlier today, from an unknown number and I freaked out LOL.

We are in the same boat. 70 overall Kaplan score and 3.8 GPA.

LOL. I spoke to Mr Sierra, he said he hasn't even gotten to the KAPLAN scores. We're not going to hear anything until 2 weeks from now so don't panic yet

So glad someone posted this! My chances of getting in are slim, due to the fact that my GPA is just 3.5 and the writing section really messed me up, I only scored 75%. Mr. Sierra did tell me that someone with a 3.32 got in last time, and that chances of getting into the day program are better since there's twice as many seats. So hopefully I make the cut. Wow you guys congrats, you did great! I scored 70% overall and have a 3.5 gpa & Im going for the evening program. Does anyone know if they will reject me since I failed the writing section with a 52%? Mr. Sierra told me its the OVERALL grade they consider, but i feel really nervous since i failed the writing section.

gpa is 3.87. I hope its enough to get in 🙏. I applied for the day program.

Hey guys! I took the Kaplan on May 30th and got an overall score of 86%. My prereq GPA is 3.83 and overall is a 3.9. I'm super nervous and glued to my phone. I applied for the day program. I really hope we all get in!
