Blisters Under Section M

Under Section M where would you code blisters? They are on her heels and they are still intact. The lady who does wounds is not considering them Stage 2 Pressure areas, so I am trying to find a place to put them. Would you put them under M4d?

A facility's wound care policy may adhere to certain protocols. For MDS purposes, we must abide by the instruction stated in the manual, p3-159. A blister is coded as a Stage 2 (unless, other than pressure is a contributory factor).

She is a wanderer that is constantly on her feet. I don't know what else could have caused it, but pressure from her shoes and of course walking all day.

She may also possibly have pressure ulcers to heels from constantly rubbing heels across mattress, like in restless leg syndrome or just repeatitive movement... or as you said, maybe her shoes.
