Best ECG text?

I will be teaching an advanced coronary care course, and want to get a new text. The students have already learned basic rhythm interpretation . I will be teaching 12 leads - MI's , BBB, SVT/VT, chamber enlargement, etc. Any ideas for a good text? I have looked on Amazon, and Garcia's "12 Lead ECGs: The Art of Intepretation" looks good, as does Grauer's "A Practical Guide to ECG Interpretation". Any comments on these books, or any other suggestions?

Thanks

I'm also interested in learning about which advanced EKG book is considered to be an excellent teaching tool. You may want to copy and re-post this question on the Nurse Anesthetist bulletin board. I suspect you may get a faster response. Good luck.

I went ahead and ordered the Garcia text, cause I had to make a decision so the college can order enough copies for the students to buy. Whatever it is lacking, which prob isn't much, I have about 10 other ECG texts around the house!!

Thanks though.

Dale Dubins is the best book and very easy to read.

Agreed. It's a classic.

Thanks for the replies. As I said, I've ordered Garcia and made it the requirerd text for the course. I don't think I will be disappointed.

When I went through paramedic school I used a number of different books to help me out for both basic interpretation and 12-lead interpretation

For basic interpretation I used:

Dale Dublin ( I think thats his name) Its an orange colored book (that was my favorite)

Jane Huff-ECG Workout Exercieses in Arrhythmia Interpretation

Barbara Aehlert-ECG's Made Easy

For 12-lead I used:

Understanding 12-Lead EKGs: A Practical Approach Michael C. West, Brenda M. Beasley

12-Lead EKG Confidence: Step-by-Step to Mastery Jacqueline M. Green, Anthony J. Chiaramida

Hope this helps you!
