Becotide

Can you help and advise why was Becotide discontinued in the UK in June 2007?

And should we still be using it if issued before 2007 ??

Many thanks Metdog

Hello, metdog, and Welcome to allnurses.com

I moved your thread to the UK forum for a better response. We hope you enjoy the site.

In accordance with the 1987 Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, all treatments that contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are, where possible, being replaced with CFC-free alternatives - not because they are bad for people with asthma but because of their effect on the ozone layer.

I also found this www2.nhshighland.scot.nhs.uk/Health%20Services/Pharmacy/Formulary/Pink%20One/The%20Pink%20One%2071.pdf which echoes what SirI has said...
