Background check question

In 2009 I was stopped for a DUI and convicted. I was recently informed that in the state of NJ DUI is not considered a "criminal offense" only a traffic violation however the NJ state licensing application asked if the applicant ever been convicted of a DUI. My question is does anyone know if this could hinder me from getting my RN license?

You have to disclose it to the board. You may need to secure an attorney if they decide to further investigate.

Contact the board of registered nursing in NJ to find out. If you can't get licensed, I would save yourself the time and money on nursing school.
