Back from the nclex

Hi everyone, i came back from my nclex today, My God.........., i feel like i am a dead one from a disaster where i was the most injury one. OK to tell you when i just start i was like.. oh this look good to me... the questions was simple, and when i get in my seventies this is where all the trouble start. the computer kept giving questions, i start to panic because i don't want to run out of time, can you believe i went up to 205 questions, people who been through that # know how i was feeling. this is not a good number, i know Suzanne going to say the number isn't matter, but i heard to many people fail at this number. i have a lot of prioritize Q, two or three ped, what killing most was med Q, . I feel like a fried fish now, i really don't see myself going over and study again, still i am praying God to get me out of this safe.

Hey girl. I feel for you... I took the exam desember 6, and I felt horrible after the exam, cried my eyes out. But then I thought, Ok I am not going to let this ruin my christmas and I just pray to God that I will pass. I really can't see myself studying again for this. :uhoh21: I studied for 3 months and I thought that would be plenty enough.

Hello there!! I will take my NCLEX around early next year, haven't scheduled yet with Pearson but got my ATT already. I wish you all the luck and may you make it!!

I plan to take the NCLEX at the begining of the next year too.

Since you haven't scheduled jet how did you get the ATT ?

Once you register with Pearson-Vue, and they have notice from your state that you have been approved for the exam, you will get your ATT. But you are not required to schedule your exam at that time. You have 90 days to do that. So you can have your ATT but not be scheduled.

Just study the NCLEX RN book in the front...it tells you how to read the questions to know what they really want. I studied that the day before and passed with 98 questions. I am a BIG procrastinator. Also, KNOW KNOW KNOW Maslow's heirarchy of needs!!!! Very important.

Hello All. I am just taking my pre-reqs right now and hoping to get in the nursing program in fall 2006 and yet I am already worried about the NCLEX.

I don't know much about it. What kind of test is it? And what is the passing score? And how do you study for it? It's a board exam right?

ANyway, to all that's going to be taking the NCLEX, I wish you all the best. :)

Yeah, me too, I have my ATT already but haven't scheduled yet, but I might go ahead and schedule it tonight or tomorrow, for sure not later than next week, I'm still scared you know:-) But anyway, like what Suzanne said, once your state submits approval to Pearson then they will send you an ATT.

You do nto receive the ATT until the fee is paid for the exam.

Sorry, but the not the wisest thing to do. And it is suggested that you do not even look at a book the day before.

Don't worry about the NCLEX until about 2 to 3 months prior to graduating from a nursing program. While you are in school, your job is to learn to think critically and apply all the knowledge you've absorbed. There is no way you can 'memorize' for the NCLEX. The test writers are too smart for that.

There's no passing score; you either pass or fail. It is a state board exam to test for minimum competency as an entry level nurse.
