avondale college... (???)

does anyone even know Avondale College?

the only avondale college i know of is in n.s.w. i thought it was the seventh day adventist church's college. if it's the same, then the only thing i can tell you about it is; the area surrounding it is really beautiful! :) sorry can't be of more help.

hi, landa. i have a friend who attended avondale and she is now working in the u.s. i heard good things about avondale, but am not sure about their nursing program. my friend said though, she thoroughly enjoyed her stay there. sorry can't be of more help.

Avondale college nursing program is quite good. I would suggest that you contact the college directly. Have a look at there College Website. www.avondale.edu.au

My understanding is that you do most of your practical experience at the Sydney Adventist hospital. But you can be sent to other hospitals in the Sydney area.

The hospital also offers a good graduate nursing program.

Avondale College has two campus at Lake Macquarie and Wahroonga. It is possible to commence Nursing at either campus.

I completed a Diploma of Applied Science (Nursing) at Avondale College (prior to Batchelor programs). The clinical experience obtained at Sydney Adventist Hospital was extremely valuable.

The program is now a Batchelor of Nursing and other post graduate degrees are available. It is still possible to obtain clinical experience though Sydney Adventist Hospital and be employed as an undergraduate nurse. This way you are learning and getting paid for it at the same time.

When I was an associate nurse manager I worked with two Avondale graduates and I can say they were two of the best nurses I have ever worked with. I worked with them in their second year out and they were performing at the level I would expect for a nurse 4-5 years out. It is worth a closer look and I would suggest you visit their campuses and have a tour.
